There are so many interesting and breath-taking places to visit in Brittany, too many to mention here. The best bet is to purchase a travel guide or do some web surfing before your trip.

Here are just a few examples of well known attractions and places of historic interest. Of course there are also many beaches to visit if sight-seeing isn't for you!

 

Le Mont-Saint-Michel is widely regarded as one of the 7 wonders of the modern world. The medieval town with half timbered buildings built into the rock face and should not be missed. Approx. 1hr30 away
 


Saint-Malo, the old city of the sea was almost completely destroyed in 1944. Since then it has been faithfully restored including the complete inner city ramparts. There are several long sandy beaches. Approx. 1hr30 away


Dinard is a fashionable seaside town on the Emerald coast, near to Saint-Malo. There are picturesque beaches and promenades. Approx. 1hr30 away


Dinan is a lovely old medieval town on a hill with granite and timbered buildings. Below the old town is a quaint port on the river Rance. Approx. 1hr away
 


Fougères has a superb medieval chateau which is the largest castle in Brittany. There is also a large forest which is ideal for walking and cycling. Approx. 2hrs away
